What Factors Influence Weather? Weather is all around us and as it takes more of a center stage in our news media and our minds it will be even more important that our students know what causes weather phenomena. See a transformation in your students as their interest is piqued with this engaging resource! Scientific Discrepant Events is a full teacher resource that works to educate students using the principle of cause and effect to explore the factors that influence weather in a way that hooks them from the moment the lesson begins. This pack consists of 18 lesson plans (science experiments), complete with diagrams. Each lesson details the materials needed, the sequential steps in the procedure, an explanation as to what is happening and questions that can be asked to students regarding what they've witnessed. Lessons are numbered for easy reference and presented in a clean, easy-to-read layout.

This is a Daily 5 Rotation Chart I built. I have grouped/locked many of the items so you will need to ungroup and unlock to edit. I plan on letting my students choose their station. The first slide will be a list with students names so they know the choosing order (which student gets to choose their station first. I have a class list next to the smart board where I record the date the student chose first). I will have moved the students who are working with me prior to the rest of the class choosing. I like this rather than moving a color group to each station because if needed I can pull one student for a reading assessment. This is still a work in progress but I thought it could still be helpful.
Not the best, but a place to start.
