Alberta Trees Research Project

Students are asked to create a Google Slides presentation about trees that are Native to Alberta. It can easily be modified into a poster or written project. It includes the instructions and a rubric. The rubric includes outcomes from Trees and Forests, as well as grade 5 and 6 ELA outcomes.

Iroquois Confederacy Unit Launch
This is a fun challenge! Students are given 7 clues and need to work together as groups to determine the theme of their next Social Studies unit. I did it with my class and it was a hit!\n\nIt can also be adapted to any unit, just change up the clues!\n\nIt is best if students will have access to some technology.
