Infill in Edmonton

This resource teaches students about housing and neighbourhoods in Edmonton and allows them to design their very own dream infill home. This program was delivered by City of Edmonton staff in classrooms where students were asked to consider how their housing preferences will interact with neighbourhood history as they design their own dream home. The activity at the end of this package is linked to the first Edmonton Infill Design Competition. We wanted to include children's voices in the competition and inspire architects and designers participating in the contest to think outside the box by exposing them to the ideas, preferences and creativity of young Edmontonians. Examples of student work can be seen at http://edmontoninfilldesign.ca/infill-design-school-program/. This resource contains: - A presentation - A presentation script - A mature neighbourhood streetscape - An activity
