Ninja Plans now requires a subscription to access all of its wonderful content. This change was made for two reasons:
If you have already contributed resources to Ninja Plans, the only thing you need to do to start earning revenue from your resources is to supply us with a PayPal address (which you can easily do when logged into your Ninja Plans account) .
Like anything else, Ninja Plans has cyclical periods of high and low traffic. When we think of the life cycle of many educators, there are predictable patterns of 'business,' whether that be as a result of report cards, parent-student-teacher conferences, the start of a school year or new term, summer holidays and other break periods, etc.
To help you better prepare for these busy periods on our site, we are providing this historical user activity on our site for your reference.
Teachers use Ninja Plans to help them reduce their workload, improve their practice, and to generate ideas for the classroom that may otherwise have been missed. If you're looking to have the most popular resources on the site, timing is everything.
It is important to be topical and to anticipate the next popular event or period—and to upload higher quality resources that are purpose-built for these events.
This may depend on the Board you work for.
In Alberta, we have yet to see a contract that has this clause (and we've reviewed them all), nor have we located anything from the ATA pertaining to this rumour.
Here is a list of the Collective Agreements for all School Boards in Alberta. Please review the contract that you signed to learn more or speak with your HR department.
The only thing you need to do is have an active subscription for an account, making sure that the email address used is the one that you can receive payout information to.
What you share with others is up to you. We do not report to employers that you are contributing resources (nor anything else for that matter). Other than a username, we do not broadcast any other information (such as job title or location) with others unless you consent to it.
You may wish to set your profile to anonymous if you wish to add another layer of ambiguity.
No. But that's always been a rule on our site.
Nope, just 1.
Not at all. The more, the merrier!
Anywhere from the 1st through to the 21st of the following month.
August’s downloads are paid to you in September, for example.
We pay out using Paypal.
This is equal to the percentage of downloads your resources have in a given month compared to the total downloads for that month
For example, 5% of the downloads = 5% of the payout.
Please see the Earnings Example chart near the top of this page for an illustrative example.
We will provide all users with tallies for each month so that you can see just how your contributions stack up against the site’s overall totals.
Nope. Our system will only count 1 download of a resource per user.
So, if 3 different users download your resource in a month, it won’t matter how many times they click to download it—it will only count as 3 downloads.
We do not report your payouts to any tax departments. This is your responsibility to decide how to approach taxes
Please consult your accountant to learn more.

In order to get paid, you'll need to have an account with PayPal and be sure that your account is eligible and ready to receive payments. Finally, make sure that you've provided this information in the "Contributor Options" section of your Ninja Plans account area.
Due to banking transfer fees, we have to set a minimum monthly payment of $1.11.
Any earnings of less than $1.11 each month will be absorbed and not payable to contributors
Consider whether a relative or friend who uses PayPal will accept your earnings and forward them to you.
