Soprano Recorder Fingering Posters
Print and display for students to reference during music classes. The 'nose' is the thumb. These posters are for the Baroque or English soprano recorder. Recorders are recommended in the Music POS from Grade 4 but don't let that stop you. We don't usually start in Grade 3 because children's hands are small and have trouble covering the holes completely (squeek!). However, younger students (Grade 2+) can be successful with perseverance, patience and practice. Hot Cross Buns? No way! Look for youtube videos featuring Lucie Horsch (Dutch), a young recorder virtuoso, to show students what the recorder was built to do. Make music great again!
