A combination of a full class activity and an individual/partner activity. Students will test out different parachute designs (see pages at the bottom of the resource) and then create their ideal parachute based on the observations gathered as a class.

This resource looks at Aerodynamics in Olympic Sports. It aims at answering the essential question of: what sport technology and designs have been influenced by nature to improve optimal performance? There are 5 different tasks that build their way up to the final task of researching an Olympic sport and analyzing it through an aerodynamics lens.
